SPARS Print E-mail

SPARS - Support Planning Assessment Recording System - is an intuitive tool for recording and managing typical information needed to maintain and support learning disabled people.  SPARS brings together information from a number of different sources to create one complete record.

SPARS empowers carers and management teams to monitor progress and automatically gather the information needed to produce reports easily, helping providers meet the reporting requirement of standards bodies such as Care Quality Commission (CQC).

SPARS has an easy-to-use interface with a useful help system to make the process of updating the records effortless, leading to more time for carers to do what they do best - care for people.

Key features:

  • Focus on support planning and recording
  • Outcome based
  • Management information and reporting
  • Recording of routine support
  • Facility to store documents and media
  • Supported person and group diaries
  • Based on CQC standards
  • Web-based solution

Linking Assessment and Planning

SPARS builds upon the need for regular assessments and facilitates a smooth and continual process.  It also takes into account the support person's summary needs and routine support requirements and monitors them against key assessment areas such as:

  • Challenging Behaviour
  • Friendships/Relationships
  • Employment/Education
  • Money/Paperwork
  • Leisure/Hobbies
  • Home/Tenancy
  • Personal Care
  • Health
  • Culture

Handover Process

A popular feature of SPARS is its Handover facility.  This enables trouble-free shift changes and the capturing of important information that can be evidenced and audited.

Goals, Steps and Outcomes

A core function of SPARS is its outcome based feature which encourages collaboration between carers and the individual to identify goals, steps and outcomes and to record progress leading ultimately to an enhanced experience for the supported person.

By going through a process, individuals are more likely to achieve their pre-defined goals and outcomes.
