19th June, 2008 - DSCallards, the number one reseller of Crystal Reports in the UK, held their third successful seminar entitled, “Bringing Data to Life with Xcelsius”, in its 2008 seminar series at SAP Business Objects Head Office in Maidenhead on Wednesday 18th June 2008.   With over one hundred delegate registrations, attendees included representatives from companies that included GlaxoSmithKline, CBI, Balfour Beatty, Royal Mail, Allianz UK and General Dynamics.

DSCallards who have been a Gold Partner of SAP Business Objects for a number of years, worked with SAP Business Objects to deliver a comprehensive set of presentations ranging from how Xcelsius fits in with the big Business Intelligence picture, to an overview of the new features within Xcelsius 2008 to its sophisticated dashboard and scorecard features and their deployment in the field.

Robert Peters from Phoenix Contact Ltd provided an informative dialogue on how they have successfully deployed Xcelsius within their organisation to improve the way data is presentated to key decision makers.  The seminar also discussed how to:

  • Transform Excel spreadsheets into interactive data presentations, Excel dashboards and visual 'What-If' models.
  • Create live dashboards that connect to any type of company data - from corporate databases to personal spreadsheets.
  • Add the clarity and convenience of visual analytics and personalised dashboards to your Business Objects platform.
  • Understand the key features of Xcelsius 2008, which offers a comprehensive set of new features and integrations with CR2008 and other market-leading products.

“The day went very smoothly”, said Ray Kemp, Technical Director, DSCallards.  “From the feedback received, the delegates seemed very impressed with the power of the software and how, by following a few simple steps, they could create stunning interactive visualizations of their core business data”.
